I am so excited you are here!

But, you never expected to be here, doing this. You have already researched and connected with many other therapists but can’t seem to find the right fit and it’s frustrating!

Perhaps, this is your first time and you're really not sure how to put your faith in change therapy. If you have made it here this far, it's because you are feeling disconnected from yourself or from others you care deeply about, surfacing questions of what harmony and wholeness feels like again…Because it has been too long….

I work with clients who want to reclaim their lives and make choices from an authentic place.  Who feel stuck, worried, guilty, and ashamed of the past or present, who want to unapologetically live with intention and desire. I love helping those who are ready to stop unwanted behaviors and language that doesn’t vibe with who they actually are or want to be.

In our work together, you can expect a collaboration of gentle and direct approaches with you as the expert in mind. Through skills based work, you will be immersed with TALK therapy and ACTION therapy. Each session is guided towards your goals and vision with insights, question to gain deeper understandings, and reflections to take home and work on, to help you become skillful in approach while taking on life’s difficult moments.

It matters deeply WHO you put your faith into. Here’s what it would be like to choose US.

Letter From Diana, Clinical Director

You have struggled your whole life to feel accepted, to fit in, and find a place for you… this same crusade of disconnect has trickled through your home and professional life, extending even into your medical care. With Starlight Path, you will not have to explain who you are at baseline in order to justify your existence and approval in our space. You CAN be who you are authentically as it should be every time. If you choose to put your faith in our space, it will be met with dignity and respect.

I hold in high regard, personal growth within my own relationship & biracial marriage and I have faced many of the same struggles that my clients are working on today. What this means is you will be sharing space with a high achieving, expertly trained affirming therapist that gets what you are going through.

You may be looking at a therapist, but what you don’t see is a first generation college student, a trauma survivor, a proud protective mother, a passionate equal rights social justice advocate, and someone who has felt what it feels like to be challenged economically. Someone who has an innate burning desire to dismantle colonizations of generational oppression, which is why I chose to be a therapist. My collective experiences as a crisis specialist in an agency setting and as an educator in the public school system has forged growth and unimaginable nourishment to my professional soul that I never knew I needed and am thankful for. Together at Starlight Path, we will create a space built from strength, encouragement, and gentle reflections to guide you towards building your beautiful, love-filled life, with the belief that you can reach for the stars! Are you ready?

Wondering what the process looks like?

Free Consultation

This type of appointment is built with your decision making process in mind. Finding a therapist is stressful and you deserve a free low key space to ask questions, share promptings that brought you to seek counseling, and get familiar with what this journey may look like for you.

Intake Appointment

This appointment is a 90-minute appointment to share your life experiences from early childhood to adulthood. To delve into the reasons that trouble you, and to begin linking connections to past experience in order to help you make sense of your world.

Each Session after

We will continue linking connections and deconstructing lived experiences, building rapport, and growing skills to help you manage day to day obstacles. When you feel things starting to look and feel differently, then you get to decide when to change your session frequency or go to “therapy as needed” until you are ready to discontinue.

A space you can lean on when all else collapses.

Relationship Abuse Therapy

You have probably experienced your loving family and friends expressing uncomfortable and unwanted concerns about the person you love. Relationship Abuse Therapy is not the space to pressure you into leaving them… We will provide support and skills so you can make your own choices, judgement free

LGBTQIA+ Therapy

You have experienced a provider claiming to be LGBTQIA affirming, but you find they have no clue on how to support you and your lived experiences. You are struggling with your identity but what is even harder is when you have to deal with the fireworks coming from society, family, or friends attitudes.

Polyamory Therapy

If you are not sure about being polyamorous, then you are in the right place! Perhaps you have done a lot of digging into resources, doing the groundwork, and need support from a affirming therapist to help open your relationship up. Your partner may have just told you that they are poly and you don’t know what to do or where to go from there.

Here’s What I Believe About Therapy:

⟶ Honesty

Everyone deserves to have honest feedback to give insight on the whole picture so that you can make your own meaningful choice that reflect what you think would be best for you. No bullshit. No guessing games. This is your experience and it deserves transparency. Additionally, this is your space to explore, craft, and digest meaningful experiences, which means your honesty in this space is just as important.

Commitment

You are here to thrive in your life and relationships again. Health and wellness requires a commitment made by both the clinician and client in order to our space to be productive and supported in the highest degree possible. My committment to you is to walk with you every step of the way until my services are no longer required or fitted to suit your mental health needs.

Unconditional Acceptance

Bravery and dignity is what it takes to seek out professional care. This is a vulnerable process requiring a deconstruction of what troubles you. You should be able to do that with someone who wants to build with you, no matter who you are or what you have done. There is no room for shame or judgement in our space. Matter of fact, this space will teach you how to leave you how to leave it at the door.

This is not it. The life you are living now and that is okay! Together, we can jet you in the right direction.

Schedule an appointment today and get on the Starlight Path!
