Adolescent Counseling
Long-lasting peaceful connections with your child sometimes doesn't work out the way you want it to.
Just like you experienced adolescent-hood, so are they. We can all agree that this stage of life is tough for both the parent and child(ren). Teenage years are the ready, set, go stages of our lives where each person makes their own experiences and interacts with the world differently. A world in which parents will be holding up a stop sign at each intersection to make sure their little drivers slow down and look both ways before crossing safely.
There are times when delays and traffic jams can leads to unhealthy ways of communication often stemming from anger or frustration. At Starlight Path Counseling, my hope is to provide adolescent counseling in a mutual space in which each person has a voice to express troubled emotions and be given an opportunity to feel heard by loved ones in your family. It is a place where awareness and reflection are met with hard work and unaccustomed change. Sessions are focused on positive communication and strategies to help build a future of changes desired by both the parent and teen.
